Panorama, A.K.A Tab Candy, is slick picture device alloing users to simultaneously view all tabs open at one time and sort them into groups by simply dragging and dropping them. The other new addition, namely Sync, lets users keep track, manage and move their browsing history, passwords, bookmarks, awesome bar and so on from PC to PC (and to iPhone with Firefox Home), encoding all stored info, protecting it from the prying eyes of others looking to trace users’ footsteps. read more

firefox logo 728 75 150x150 Firefox 4 Beta 3 is all hands onMozilla has released its third beta version of their latest web broser, Firefox 4, with 10 additional languages (bringing the count up to 30 in total!) and large focus on compatibility with Windows 7 multi-touch support. The all new hands on Firefox also has made substantial improvements to its JavaScript handling functions, although after so much redesigning taking place in the first two beta releases over the past months, the interface remains pretty much the same as mentioned in our last post about beta 2. read more

firefox logo 728 75 150x150 Firefox 4 beta 2 outMozilla’s second beta for Firefox 4 has arrived now including the long-awaited and much hyped Chrome-like tabs-on-top feature as default for Mac enthusiasts.Linux junkies will however still have to wait, predicted to be rectified in a following beta release next month. Windows veterans already had the pleasure of testing out the new-look tabs in the first beta of Firefox 4 released earlier this mont, leaving less for them to get all too excited about in the second beta release.As with the first release, the design has been kept nice and minimalistic, providing users with more browsing space and a clearer overview of available functions. read more

The Add-on, downloaded by over 1800 Firefox browser users was being used to steal login details and send them to a remote server, proving an obviously severe security breach and on discovery quickly found itself on Mozilla’s blocklist. read more

firefox logo 728 75 300x225 Firefox 4 Beta 1 officially availableMozilla has released the first full beta version of its latest browser version, Firefox 4 and delivers, as promised, a host of new and updated features such as top tabs, a new AddOns Manager, and Bookmarks Toolbar,  focussed on making internet browsing as comfortable as possible. Mozilla is convinced that the new-look firefox presented in the beta version will put other upstart browsers such as Chrome and Safari back in their place with regards to user percentage. read more

https everywhere Facebook and Twitter encryption in FirefoxThe latest beta Firefox extension offered by the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Tor project will allow Facebook and Twitter users (as well as other sites such as Wikipedia, Paypal and various online newspapers) encrypt their messages, offering a degree of security to some of the otherwise hacker-susceptible online social media platforms. Similar to the theory behind Google’s encrypted web search option, the aptly named HTTPS Everywhere lets users open one of the before-mentioned sites and creates a HTTPS connection (similar to that of exchange servers with login and password etc). read more

Thunderbird 3.1 however promises its users that the days of bugged usage are indeed over. Not only is the new version far more Gmail friendly (avoiding several annoying and time-consuming hang ups), but it also comes with a more powerful and superior search tool, as well as a new Quick Filter tool for filtering messages. read more
