MS Office 2010 Release Date – 15th Juneby Stephen in Office software

Business consumers have already had the chance to nab their copies of Microsoft’s latest Office, Office 2010, and now it’s time for the rest of us to get ours, well almost! The release date for ‘general users’ to get their mits on a copy of the 2010 suite has been confirmed for the 15th June.
Microsoft Office 2010 offers a spectrum of products as mentioned in an earlier post, including the Student, Home and Professional packages. Finally users will be able to see just how well Microsoft’s Web Apps match up to the likes of Google Docs, especially with its convergence in social cross-over initiatives such as that with Facebook.
All eyes are on the success of online mobile document access and editing, with heavy plugging of SkyDrive, something Microsoft is obviously hoping will take the shine off their Google counterpart.
UK customers can look forward to getting hold of their Office 2010 copy for around £109.99 for Office 2010 Student, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, Office 2010 Home (Student features plus Outlook) for £239.99 and Office 2010 Professional, including all of the above, as well as Publisher and Access for the healthy price of £429.99. If the prices haven’t put you off too much, pre-order your copy now here.
