firefox logo 728 75 150x150 Firefox 4 beta 2 outMozilla’s second beta for Firefox 4 has arrived now including the long-awaited and much hyped Chrome-like tabs-on-top feature as default for Mac enthusiasts.Linux junkies will however still have to wait, predicted to be rectified in a following beta release next month. Windows veterans already had the pleasure of testing out the new-look tabs in the first beta of Firefox 4 released earlier this mont, leaving less for them to get all too excited about in the second beta release.As with the first release, the design has been kept nice and minimalistic, providing users with more browsing space and a clearer overview of available functions. read more

The data, compiled with the help of SamKnows, shows a vast lack in delivering the connection speeds promised and indeed paid for, with thousands of customers receiving as little as half of the levels advertised.Not all results have been released in Ofcom’s recednt press release (multiple download rates for example), but alone the table below shows pretty precisely how much customers could consider themselves ripped off by some, if not most providers. read more

The problem is yet to be identified as purely a Safari issue, or whether it poses a potential threat to all WebKit-based browsers, including Google Chrome.
